What are your hours of operation?

Paducah Day Nursery is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

During inclement weather, the Day Nursery will follow the closing schedule of the PADUCAH CITY SCHOOL SYSTEM.  Charges are assessed by schedule, and fees are to be paid even if we are not in session.

Are you closed in observance of any holidays?

We are closed on

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving day and the day after
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Eve
What age of children do you accept?

Six weeks to 13 years of age

What are your rates?

Infant/Toddler:  $34 full day (5+ hours/day), $31 part day (<5 hours)

Preschool:  $32 full day (5+ hours/day) $29 part day (<5 hours)

School Age:  $29 full day (5+ hours/day) , $29 part day (<5 hours)

Do you take payment from parents that are not low income?

We mainly serve low-income families but will take self-pay from parents depending on the circumstances.

Do you provide transportation to and from school?

McNabb and Morgan schools pick up and drop off here. We also have a van that provides transportation to and from Clark school. 

Are your teachers certified?

Our head teachers have a Child Development Associate’s (CDA) degree or higher. To maintain licensure or certification, all teachers must undergo 15 hours of training annually.

What are the requirements for your teaching staff?

Employee requirements include

  • Annual in-service training (15 training hours per year)
  • Kentucky State Orientation
  • First Aid and CPR training
  • Negative TB skin test
  • Criminal background check
Does your facility offer meals?

Yes. We offer three meals per day. All meals are free to students. We also offer afternoon snacks. Our meal plans are flexible enough to accommodate different diets and allergies.

Are your cooks trained or certified?

We take extensive measures to ensure that our food is sanitary and nutritious. As such, we employ at least one certified cook that is in charge of meal planning and preparation.

Does Paducah Day Nursery participate in the Kentucky All-Stars quality rating system?

Our program proudly maintains a 5-star rating by Kentucky All-Stars.

What is the child-to-staff ratio?

Low child-to-staff ratios offer children more individualized attention.

What is your sick policy?

Upon arrival, our teachers do daily health checks. If any symptom arises during the day we call the parents for pick up. All children must be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning.

Do you have outdoor facilities?

Yes. We have an outdoor play area and playground where children can go outside and play. We encourage outdoor play as much as possible so that children can get fresh air and appreciate nature.

Do you offer live-streaming for remote parental viewing?

At this time, we do not offer live-streaming for security reasons. If you have questions about live-streaming, we are happy to discuss this with you.
